Last updated: August 11, 2026
- Introduction
Balance Through Menopause™ is operated by PeriBalance, LLC, d/b/a Balance Through Menopause, (“Balance Through Menopause,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit balancethroughmenopause.com or related Kajabi pages; join our email list or community; complete a form or assessment; create an account; purchase or participate in AmiBalance™, Balance Beyond Menopause™, either program’s corresponding continuation membership, The Regulation Gap in Menopause, or another course, workshop, membership, live call, or offering; or otherwise communicate with us (collectively, the “Services”).
This Policy applies to our educational business and online Services. It does not replace any separate privacy notice that may apply if you independently become a psychotherapy client through a separately established clinical relationship.
- Personal Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with us.
Information You Provide Directly
We may collect:
- Contact and account information: Name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, username, password, and account preferences.
- Transaction information: Products purchased, subscription status, payment amount, billing address, transaction date, and related records. Payment-card details are generally collected and processed by our payment processor rather than stored directly by us.
- Program and community information: Community profile details, posts, comments, questions, survey responses, call participation, and communications with us.
- Assessment and wellbeing information: Answers you choose to provide about menopause experiences, symptoms, stress, sleep, recovery, wellbeing, or related concerns.
- Support and correspondence: Messages, feedback, customer-service requests, and other information you send us.
- Marketing preferences: Newsletter choices, consent records, and unsubscribe preferences.
Please do not submit information you do not want us or the applicable service provider to process. Avoid sharing detailed medical records, psychotherapy records, crisis information, or highly sensitive information through general email or community posts.
Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Services, our website and service providers may automatically collect limited technical information needed to operate and protect the Services, including:
- Internet protocol address.
- Browser, device, and operating-system information.
- Dates and times of access.
- Login, security, and error records.
- Identifiers used for essential cookies, account sessions, checkout, and requested website functions.
Information From Other Sources
We may receive information from platforms and providers that help us operate the Services, such as Kajabi, payment processors, email providers, video-conferencing providers, and community platforms.
- How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information to:
- Provide and administer the Services.
- Create and secure your account.
- Process purchases, recurring payments, cancellations, and refunds when applicable.
- Deliver lessons, downloads, recordings, live-call information, and community access.
- Respond to questions and provide customer support.
- Respond to participant feedback and maintain the quality of our offerings.
- Send transactional messages and, when permitted, newsletters and promotional communications.
- Maintain safety, prevent fraud, troubleshoot, and protect our rights and systems.
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
- Carry out another purpose disclosed when the information is collected or with your consent.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information as necessary to perform a contract with you, comply with law, pursue legitimate business interests that are not overridden by your rights, protect vital interests, or act with your consent.
- Wellbeing and Health-Related Information
Some assessments, forms, or community discussions may invite information related to symptoms or wellbeing. Maryland law may treat identifiable consumer-health information as sensitive data.
We limit collection and use of this information to what is reasonably necessary and proportionate to provide the Service you requested, or we request consent when required. We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand and improve our offerings where permitted by law.
Participation in our educational Services does not create a therapist-client relationship. Information submitted through the website, a course, assessment, membership, or community is governed by this Privacy Policy and may not receive the same legal protections as information maintained in a psychotherapy or medical record.
We do not sell identifiable consumer-health or wellbeing information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. Access by employees, contractors, and service providers is limited to those who need it to provide or support the requested Service and who are subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
We will provide breach notices relating to covered information when required by applicable law.
- How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients:
- Service providers and contractors that host our website and programs, process payments, send email, support live calls and community spaces, store data, secure systems, or provide customer support. These may include Kajabi and other providers used for the applicable Service.
- Professional advisers such as attorneys, accountants, insurers, and consultants who need the information to provide services to us.
- Authorities and legal recipients when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or a valid government request; protect rights, safety, or property; investigate fraud or misuse; or enforce our agreements.
- Business-transaction recipients in connection with a proposed or completed merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate safeguards.
- Other recipients at your direction or with your consent.
We do not sell personal information or sensitive data. We do not independently use advertising pixels, cross-context behavioral tracking, or personal information for targeted advertising.
We may use and disclose information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it cannot reasonably identify you, subject to applicable law.
- Essential Cookies and Website Technology
We and our providers use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies as needed to operate the website, keep accounts signed in, remember requested preferences, process checkout, maintain security, and provide requested Services.
We do not add advertising pixels or optional analytics tools. Our service providers may generate basic operational and service-use data as part of hosting and delivering the Services.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent account, checkout, or program functions from working correctly.
Because we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, we do not currently offer a separate advertising opt-out. We will honor browser-based opt-out preference signals if required by law and relevant to our future practices.
- Email and Other Communications
We send transaction-related messages needed to administer purchases, accounts, live calls, and memberships.
If you subscribe to marketing emails, we may send educational content, program information, and offers. You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any promotional message or by contacting us at [email protected].
We may still send non-promotional messages concerning an active purchase, account, or legal notice.
We do not currently send marketing text messages.
- Payment Information
Payments are processed by third-party payment processors available through our checkout platform. We generally do not receive or store the full payment-card number.
Payment processors handle payment information under their own privacy policies and security obligations.
- Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing Services, maintaining transaction and tax records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, meeting legal obligations, and protecting against fraud.
Retention periods vary by information type and context. We consider the amount and sensitivity of the information, the purpose for retaining it, legal requirements, and whether the purpose can be achieved another way.
We may retain aggregated or de-identified information for a longer period where permitted by law.
- Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for using a strong, unique password and protecting your account credentials. Please contact [email protected] if you believe your account or information has been compromised.
- Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request that we:
- Confirm whether we process your personal information.
- Provide access to or a copy of personal information.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete personal information.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Provide certain information in a portable format.
- Allow you to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Opt you out of certain targeted advertising, sales, sharing, or profiling, if applicable.
You may submit a request by emailing [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Request.” Tell us the right you wish to exercise and the state or country where you reside.
We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and authority. You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. If we deny a request, residents of jurisdictions that provide an appeal right may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.”
These rights are subject to legal exceptions. We may retain information when required for transactions, recordkeeping, security, legal compliance, or the establishment or defense of legal claims.
- Maryland and Other U.S. State Privacy Rights
The Maryland Online Data Privacy Act (“MODPA”) gives Maryland residents rights over personal data when the law applies to the business and processing activity.
Whether MODPA or another comprehensive state privacy law applies can depend on factors such as the number of consumers whose data is processed, revenue derived from data sales, and how information is used or disclosed.
Subject to MODPA’s scope and exceptions, Maryland residents may have the right to:
- Confirm whether we process their personal data.
- Access, correct, or delete their personal data.
- Obtain a portable copy.
- Obtain information about categories of third parties that receive their data.
- Opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, or certain profiling.
- Revoke consent to processing of sensitive data.
- Appeal a refusal to act on a request.
We will not discriminate against a consumer for exercising an applicable right.
The categories of information we may collect, including potentially sensitive data, the sources, purposes, and categories of recipients are described in Sections 2 through 5.
Requests and appeals may be submitted using the method in Section 11. If an appeal is denied, we will provide information about contacting the Maryland Office of the Attorney General when required.
We do not sell personal information or process it for targeted advertising. If these practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any legally required notice, consent, or opt-out method before beginning the new processing.
- International Visitors
We are based in the United States. If you access the Services from another country, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from those in your country.
Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers. Residents of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland may contact us to exercise applicable data rights or ask about the legal basis for processing and transfer safeguards.
- Children’s Privacy
The Services are intended for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not knowingly permit minors to purchase or participate.
If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at [email protected] so we can review and take appropriate action.
- Third-Party Links and Platforms
The Services may link to or operate through third-party websites, applications, or platforms. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
We encourage you to review those policies before providing information.
- Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our Services, technology, or legal obligations. We will post the revised version with a new effective date.
If required by law, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
