Midlife stirs up more than your hormones.
Â
Your body needs support.
The woman you're becoming needs your attention.
It's time to give yourself both.

Balance Beyond Menopause is 12 guided weeks women in perimenopause, menopause, and the years after
Something in you is shifting, and you can feel it.
You catch it in the irritation that rises faster than it used to. In the tears that come in the car, out of nowhere. In the moment you almost say no, out loud, and surprise yourself. And in the 3am quiet, when you lie awake and wonder: is this just who I am now?
It isn't. Something is changing in you, and it's more than hormones. Your body knows it. Part of you knows it too. You just haven't had the time, or the room, to listen.
12 guided weeks · Weekly live coaching · Weekly Be With™ sessions · Private community
You May Recognize Yourself Here
- Checking the clock at 3:17, 4:00, and 5:30 am.
- The fan hidden behind your monitor.
- Anxiety on a drive you've made a thousand times.
- Exhausted by 3pm, with half the day still ahead.
- Lunch eaten in the car, between everything else.
- Your partner's chewing, suddenly unbearable.
- You say yes, then resent it.
- You explain your needs until they sound negotiable.
- Someone's disappointed, and it feels like your fault.
- Still showing up for everyone, while the irritation and the tears happen where no one can see.
Three Things Women Tell Me, Over and Over
When women sit with me, they say the same three things. They're the same three things I said myself when perimenopause and menopause hit.
- My body doesn't feel like mine anymore.
- I don't know who I'm becoming.
- I can't keep up with my life the way I used to, well and I don't want to!
If you've said any of these, even only to yourself, hear this: they belong together. Support only your body, and the old ways of living keep draining it. Work only on the old ways, and your body stays on high alert. Change your life without either, and you can't keep up.
That's why we move through all three, in order: Body, then Identity, then Life.
This Transition Deserves Your Attention
The changes in your body are real, and care for them matters. Modern medicine has an important place here, and nothing in this work asks you to set it aside. It is one piece of the picture.
Women have been moving through this passage for as long as there have been women. Across cultures and centuries, many traditions understood it as a threshold: the time a woman stops living by everyone else's expectations and begins living from what she knows.
Your body is changing, and so is what you're willing to carry. That's not a coincidence. It's the passage.
A passage like this needs and deserves attention. Most of all, yours.
It's Time to Take Yourself Seriously
For years, you took care of everything and everyone. Your own needs could wait, and mostly, they did. You pushed through the tiredness. You skipped the rest. You told yourself you'd deal with it later.
And it worked. It got you here.
But this transition changes what your body can carry. The buffer is thinner now. What you could push past before now costs you your sleep, your energy, your patience. Your body isn't asking for much. It's asking to be taken seriously.
That may look different from anything you've done until now. Rest, not as a reward, but as something you need. Letting your body set the pace for a while. Noticing what helps you, and making room for it, even when no one else is asking you to.
This isn't about becoming someone new overnight. It's about treating yourself the way you've always treated everyone else: as someone who matters.
Introducing Balance Beyond Menopause™
A twelve-week guided program for women in perimenopause, menopause, and the years after, who want real support with their symptoms and are ready to meet who they're becoming.
You get real support for your symptoms, and then we go further. It's a guided journey that works with your body, your identity, and your life together: steadying your nervous system, meeting the parts of you that have carried so much for so long, and bringing what you discover into the life you actually live.
I guide you week by week, through three months in a deliberate order: first your body, then your identity, then your life. Whether what you want most is steadier nights, room to breathe, or to finally understand what this time is asking of you, that's where we begin, and you won't be doing it alone.
What Begins to Change
You might not be dancing in the kitchen while dinner cooks (well, you might). But you'll feel less rushed, even when someone asks for the third time how much longer until dinner.
Some nights you'll still wake at 3am. You'll know what to do, and you'll feel the difference the next morning.
Someone will still be disappointed in you. You'll let them have their feeling, without making it your job to fix.
Guilt will still show up when you rest. You'll rest anyway.
When you say no, you'll still feel the flinch in your body. And you'll respect your choice anyway.
This isn't about becoming calmer so you can carry even more. It's about having enough room inside to hear yourself, and the freedom to choose what you do with what you hear.
The 12-Week Experience
What you'll move through in three months
Three months. Three movements: Body, Identity, Life. Each one makes room for the next.
Each week, a short teaching and a guided practice that takes minutes, not hours. Three live Be With™ sessions to settle and practice together. And a live coaching call with me, where you bring your questions and your real life.
Month One — Body: Steadying the Ground
"What is my body trying to tell me?"
You'll explore
- What's happening in your body and nervous system in this transition, and why your capacity can change from one day to the next
- Support for your symptoms, in the order that matters to you: sleep and 3am waking, heat, anxiety, fog, exhaustion, irritation
- The AmiPause Sequence™, and the many ways to use it
- Hidden stress: what you've been carrying without counting it
- The Space Practice: catching the moment before you override yourself
- How to build recovery into your day, and what to do on the days you have less
You'll discover
- Seven different kinds of rest, each restoring a different part of you, and which one you've been missing
- That setting something down, even for a minute, isn't the same as giving it up
- Your own map of what drains you and what restores you
- A daily rhythm you can actually keep
- The Middle: where you can stay with yourself, even when pressure or emotion is there
Month Two — Identity: Sorting What's Yours
"What is truly mine?"
You'll explore
- How your patterns developed, and what they've been trying to protect you from
- Meeting your parts: which one steps forward under pressure, and which voice is speaking, yours or a part that learned to keep you safe
- What each pattern costs you now: in sleep, energy, joy, connection, and trust in yourself
- SHIFT: choosing something different from what the pattern would tell you, staying with the discomfort, and letting your nervous system learn that nothing bad happens
- How to be with anger, irritation, and grief without them taking over
- Grief, for what is changing and for the woman you have been
You'll discover
- That your patterns aren't the enemy. They were protecting something, and you can care for it differently now
- Which old stories about yourself you're ready to let go of
- The strength you've been holding back from claiming
- Who you are when youth and fertility no longer define you
- What your anger has been trying to say
Month Three — Life: The Wise Woman Steps Forward
"How do I want to live now?"
You'll explore
- Taking SHIFT into real life: in conversations, decisions, and relationships, where it starts to come faster
- Your yes, your no, and where you end and others begin
- Your relationships as they change, and what shifts in your family when your old ways change
- Your inner knowing: how it feels in your body and mind, and how it differs from an old pattern
- Living in the whole house of who you are, with room for every part of you
- Building a life that no longer needs the old patterns to hold it together
- A ceremony to mark this passage
You'll discover
- How to trust your own yes and no, even when someone is disappointed
- How to stay close to the people you love without losing yourself
- How to make decisions from what you know, not from old patterns
- What you know that you've never given yourself credit for
- What you want to make room for in the years ahead
- Your place as the Wise Woman: in yourself, your family, and your community
Throughout the twelve weeks
- Weekly live coaching and Q&A with me
- A weekly Be With™ session, guided by me, plus two more you arrange with women from the group
- A private community, for support between calls
- The Companion Guide, with reflections and worksheets to hold your journey
- The Balance Review, a short check-in at the start and end of each month, so you can see what's shifting in your body, your sense of self, and your life
- A guided journal, with prompts for each week, to hold what you notice along the way
Balance Beyond Menopause™ May Be for You If
- you are beginning to notice some of the ways you move through life more clearly
- you sometimes know what you want to say, until someone else's reaction changes your answer
- you take responsibility easily, but find it harder to know when enough is enough

- you've taken care of the medical side, and sense something is still asking for your attention
- you want to explore more than symptom support or nervous-system tools alone

Iwona Gerner, MA, LCPC
I'm a licensed psychotherapist with over twenty years of experience supporting women, and often their partners, through significant life transitions. My work brings together nervous-system science, clinical experience, somatic and relational understanding, and my own experience of perimenopause.
Understanding the science gave me an important part of the picture. The deeper work began when I realized this transition was asking me for more than managing symptoms. It was asking me to look at how I had been carrying life: the pressure to keep going, the belief that I should handle everything, the responsibility I felt for other people's comfort, and the old roles that had helped me for years but no longer fit in the same way.

Let me ask you this:
What if this transition isn't only asking you to cope?
What if it's bringing forward the parts of you that are asking to be seen and heard more clearly?
What your body has been carrying.
What no longer fits.
What you are ready to trust in yourself now.
The beliefs, roles, and patterns that brought you here deserve respect. They helped you live, adapt, care, succeed, and keep going.
But some of what once carried you may now be standing in the way of the life you want to live.
For twelve weeks, we'll give your body the support it needs, and give you the room to hear yourself, trust what you know, and shape a life that fits who you are now.
The ground is shifting because you're moving. This is a passage, and you're already in it.
What you have been carrying.
What no longer fits.
What you are ready to trust in yourself now.
The beliefs, roles, relationships, and protective patterns that brought you here deserve respect. They helped you live, adapt, care, succeed, and keep going.
But some of what once carried you may now be standing in the way of the fuller life you want to live.
This is a 12-week journey toward not just feeling steadier and grounded but also trusting your knowing, and shaping a life that fits who you are now.
The ground is shifting because you're moving. This is a passage, and you're already in it.
The years ahead can truly be yours.
